Hey! I’m Alissa, the founder and owner of IndieGrow and also “mom” to this beautiful girl. I look for inspiration everywhere, but really never have to look far. We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and I get to share this dream with my girl. When we’re not on the farm we’re usually at the lake, at least in the summer time. We love where we live and say it out load every time we get into Lake Michigan.
I was born and raised in Michigan, but I had my girl while living in Northern Virginia. I’ve got to say, it’s so good to be home! There’s no place quite like Leelanau County. I love the changing of the seasons, the landscape around us and being so much closer to family. I appreciate collaborating with and working with all of the amazing people we’ve come across while being back and feel intensely honored to have the opportunity to design for so many amazing couples and their families. Truly. Not only do I get to grow the flowers, a job I absolutely love, but I get to be creative. The creative aspect of gardening is a true passion of mine, so you’ll notice, our field isn’t set up like a traditional farm. We’ve got nooks of mixed gardens throughout and elements that keep it interesting. And on top of that, I get to take that creativity into the studio and design something amazing with all those blooms. It’s dream come true. Thanks for being here!
